Vidumurai Naal

Slow and sturdy approach for the big event called "Semester Exams" buzzed in the University for 12 to 14 weeks is now over. As the winter approaches along with the winter vacation, students are gearing up or getting ready for few things like,

Work unlimited hours during vacation,
Result would be out by July 1st week,
Need to earn some good money during vacation,
Visit a nice pleasing place etc.

But it varies upon each individual. Some are yet to get or organize a regular part time work. Few are flying to India to meet family and friends, arrange money for the forthcoming expenses. Due to student attacks some believe it is better to be out of Melbourne for a while and away from the weather.

I wanted to experiment few things which is under consideration like planning to join a group trip, get along with people in the University to build network contacts, find better opportunities, try to withhold the weather, explore things, read some articles & books.

Let's Wait and see.... to know about what would be the results

A month to go for the next semester to start.
Three months vacation passed away with exploring melbourne.
Meeting people, applying jobs, visiting places, enjoying new year at melbourne.

Climate is good like Indian hill stations and sometimes may month weather in Tamil Nadu.
Went around places near to the home by riding bicycle with the helmet on the head as a rule.
Few friends have got job inlcuding me and few are yet to get a job in this recession time.
Some have gone to India to meet their family members and friends out there.

It is good to be here during vacation if there is a job or you could try to get one and there is no point in going back to home country since there are no jobs. After all as many international students work here part time in all types of jobs irrespective of the profession and wish.

So quiet here is the recruitment as the companies go on for a long vacation after christmas and the government is making necessary steps to handle recession crisis. The temperature has risen to 40+ last week and early this week led to bush fires that was a natural and intentional cases.

சிறப்பான தாள் ப்ளஸ் ஒரு மிஷின். இந்தப் பேப்பரில் இஷ்டப்படி எழுதிவிட்டு, பின் அந்தப் பேப்பரை இத்துடன் தரப்படும் மிஷினில் செலுத் தினால் எழுத்துக்கள் மட்டும் மறைந்து பேப்பர் புதிதாக திரும்பி வரும். எழுதிய பேப்பரை இனி கிழிக்க வேண்டாம்.

New Year Parak Parak

For the past couple of years,

Celebrated new year with my parents, colleagues, collegemates, etc.

Read about new year hungama across the world.

Heard the new year wishes over the phone, text messages, emails etc.

This NEW YEAR 2009 is of different kind.

I was in Australia for my Postgraduate program, did not have any plans for new year. But went to CBD / Flinders Street / Federation Square (known to all people in Australia). Enjoyed the fireworks performance by the Gov. for the people of Australia in a centralized location which is visible to all.

One was @ 9:15PM in the banks of Yarra River (both sides),

Second one was @ !@:!% AM (guess the timing) the same above and also another open space near Federation Square. 

People were allowed to travel free after 6pm between both zones - no ticket, no validation, nothing. Same free travel was offered on 24th and 25th Dec '08. On the Christmas day and Christmas Eve. That was 48 hours of non stop travel.
